Lots of Love is Paper Anthology’s newest Class in a Kit. With it, you’ll make a lovely, botanically themed, three card set featuring images from LDRS Designs, Taylored Expressions and Gerda Steiner Designs, stamped on Northwoods watercolor paper and colored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens, or your favorite coloring medium. Full step by step instructions with color photos are included. The price is $22, just click the link to go to the Lots of Love product page.
Join Elisabeth to create this three card set (two A2 cards and a 5 1/2″ square card) featuring Northwoods Stamps’ beautiful floral designs: Iron Gate and Morning Glories, Hydrangeas in Metal Tub and Lamp Post with Morning Glories. We’ll be watercoloring on Northwoods’ unique watercolor paper using Tombow Dual Brush Pens and enhancing our creations with Art Glitter translucent loose glitters. If you’ve never used Northwoods watercolor paper, you’re in for a real treat! Dies featured are from Penny Black Stitches of Love, Spellbinders Essential Ovals and Lawn Fawn Fancy Wavy Banners!
Dates available: Thursday, July 29th from 6-9pm; Monday, August 9th, from 6-9pm; or Saturday, August 28th, from 12-3pm. The cost is $22. We will be limiting each class to the first six fully vaccinated Paper Anthologists who reserve their spots by EMAILING email@example.com AND including a photo of their vaccination card. (To give everyone equal footing, ONLY email requests will be taken at this time; no phone calls, FaceBook messages, etc. for this particular event.)
This beautiful card features an image, sentiment and die from Taylored Expressions Cottontail Wishes Stamp and Die Combo, which cleverly includes five other, non-seasonal greetings (Miss You, Happy Everything, Hello There, Celebrating You and Welcome Little One) so that you can use it all through the year, for everything from birthdays to babies to “just because” cards! The sweet bunny was stamped on Northwoods Watercolor Paper (not available online, but there’s plenty in stock!) and watercolored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens (we’ve got 101 colors!). The sentiment was stamped separately and diecut with Penny Black Ribbon Stackers.
This video of Jill Foster using Penny Black’s “Arbors” and “Pathway” stamps (which are on their way to Paper Anthology with the rest of the Spring release!) has so many great tips and (EASY!) techniques for elevating simple stamped cards into beautiful little watercolor paintings!
We won’t be seeing flowers in our gardens for a bit yet, alas, but we can see them in our craft rooms right now! Thanks to Taylored Expressions Sketchbook Florals Stamps and Dies.
These cards were made by stamping the Sketchbook Florals on Northwoods Watercolor Paper, then colored using Tombow Dual Brush Pens and a waterbrush to get the soft, ethereal look of a watercolor painting.
The Sketchbook Florals set has useful sentiments in typewriter + script fonts, which work beautifully on their own; but also pair well with Taylored Expressions Field Notes Stamp Set, which contains the dotted grid and interlocking diamonds. Other items featured here include Taylored Expressions’ Gingham Check Background and Rough Draft graph, as well as Penny Black’s super-useful Antique Frame nested die set.
This month’s Make and Take features a gorgeous Penny Black image and Studio 490 sentiment. A simple card made by applying Tombow markers direct to the stamp. A spritz of water and voila, a beautiful, soft, watercolor floral. You can’t tell in the photo, but the flowers shimmer and sparkle with a light touch of stickles;
