TWO New Penny Black Christmas Classes

Join Elisabeth for your choice of two different four-card classes, featuring Penny Black’s newest release:  “Masterpieces Made Simple”, a set of gorgeous images printed on premium cardstock. Choose from “Snowfall Serenity” (photo above) or “Pinecones and Peace” (photo below). Similar to the Penny Black sticker classes from years past, all the images come fully colored, they’re ready to add to your card and embellish. They make a striking, quick and easy card, but it looks like you fussed over it for hours! Please note that spots for this class are very limited, so email elisabeth@paperanthology.com ASAP to reserve your place!


A Penny Black Christmas I:  Snowfall Serenity (cards pictured above) Dates available: Thursday, October 28th from 6 to 9 pm; or Saturday, November 13th from 12 to 3 pm.


A Penny Black Christmas II: Pinecones And Peace (cards pictured below) Dates Available: Thursday, November 4th from 6 to 9 pm; or Saturday, December 4th from 12 to 3 pm.

July Christmas Card Club

When: Friday, July 23, 2021, 5-9pm

Where: Paper Anthology (yes, in person!)

Who: The first six fully vaccinated Paper Anthologists who reserve their spots by EMAILING elisabeth@paperanthology.com AND including a photo of their vaccination card. (Please note that ONLY email requests will be taken; no phone calls, FB messages, etc. for this event.)

Why: Because making holiday cards in December, all by yourself, is so much less fun!

Please read all the details, below:

We’ll each be making five cards of one design (pictured above) featuring Hero Arts’ “Holly Berries” stamps and dies from the new ShopBox release; and Penny Black’s awesome “Stitches of Love” dies. The price will be $25 and includes dinner.

As mentioned above, we’ll be keeping the size small, with just six fully vaccinated participants. To reserve your place,  EMAIL elisabeth@paperanthology.com AND include a photo of your vaccination card. Please note that all Paper Anthology staff members are fully vaccinated and we’re taking care to keep surfaces and hands extra clean. If you’d like to wear a mask during class you’re very welcome, but be aware that your (fully vaccinated) fellow participants will not be.

If you can’t make the date, or you’re not vaccinated yet, or you aren’t one of the first six to email Elisabeth, there will be some kits available at a later date, to purchase and make at home; stay tuned for details on those!

Happy Easter

This beautiful card features an image, sentiment and die from Taylored Expressions Cottontail Wishes Stamp and Die Combo, which cleverly includes five other, non-seasonal greetings (Miss You, Happy Everything, Hello There, Celebrating You and Welcome Little One) so that you can use it all through the year, for everything from birthdays to babies to “just because” cards! The sweet bunny was stamped on Northwoods Watercolor Paper (not available online, but there’s plenty in stock!) and watercolored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens (we’ve got 101 colors!). The sentiment was stamped separately and diecut with Penny Black Ribbon Stackers.

Flowers in February

We won’t be seeing flowers in our gardens for a bit yet, alas, but we can see them in our craft rooms right now! Thanks to Taylored Expressions Sketchbook Florals Stamps and Dies.

These cards were made by stamping the Sketchbook Florals on Northwoods Watercolor Paper, then colored using Tombow Dual Brush Pens and a waterbrush to get the soft, ethereal look of a watercolor painting.

The Sketchbook Florals set has useful sentiments in typewriter + script fonts, which work beautifully on their own; but also pair well with Taylored Expressions Field Notes Stamp Set, which contains the dotted grid and interlocking diamonds. Other items featured here include Taylored Expressions’ Gingham Check Background and Rough Draft graph, as well as Penny Black’s super-useful Antique Frame nested die set.

There’s Not a Bad Penny in the Bunch!

Just arrived at Paper Anthology, an amazing selection of Penny Black products to inspire your winter and holiday creations! Sharing some cards

Last week, Paper Anthology held out first virtual crop:  Creation Staycation.  It was a week long event, with tons of challenges, trivia and Prizes.  I’m excited to say, it was a huge success, with over 300 challenge entries!  We had such a blast looking through everyone’s gorgeous creation! I thought I would share a few of my cards from the challenges:

This card was for the Monochrome Madness challenge.  Of course, I chose GREEN.  All dies used are from Dress My Crafts:


 

This card was for the Distress background challenge.  Lots of inky goodness with Ranger Distress inks and a fun flower die set from Taylored Expressions:

 

This card was for the one layer (CAS) challenge.  I used the Taylored Expressions square stencils for the background.  The beautiful flower image is from Penny Black .  All inks used, for blending and watercoloring are mini ink cubes from Taylored Expressions:

Make and Take Sunday!

This month’s Make and Take features a gorgeous Penny Black image and Studio 490 sentiment.  A simple card made by applying Tombow markers direct to the stamp.  A spritz of water and voila,  a beautiful, soft, watercolor floral.  You can’t tell in the photo, but the flowers shimmer and sparkle with a light touch of stickles;
