Let’s all stop for a moment and pretend it’s SPRING! Stop by Paper Anthology this Saturday, February 20th, between 10am and 5pm and grab your FREE Take and Make kit to make this beautiful, vibrant card. While you’re here, check out fabulous new arrivals from Dare 2B Artzy, Hero Arts, Spellbinders and more! (Please Note: During and after bad weather it is *ALWAYS* a good idea to check the Paper Anthology FaceBook page or Instagram account for weather updates; OR call the store at (973)927-1210 before you set out! )
…from the Collins Virtual Show last week. These are some of the cards from the Sample Making Frenzy, featuring new items from Hero Arts, Lawn Fawn, Impression Obsession, LDRS Designs, Buttons Galore, Dare 2B Artzy and Avery Elle (above) and PinkFresh Studios (below); just some of the fun stuff that will start appearing at Paper Anthology this Spring!
…to more great new products which will be arriving at Paper Anthology this Spring! A few especially exciting Tuesday classes at the Collins Virtual Retailers Symposium featured great Easter/Spring dies from Impression Obsession; not to mention additional slimline stamps and dies to coordinate with the landscape elements we all fell in love with this past autumn. (Hint: look at the grass on the “Hello Spring” card!)
Dare 2B Artzy always has some clever-but-easy ideas for cards that fold in interesting ways and they did not disappoint. They were strong with patterned paper, stamps and dies which all work together… (Did you know that the elements on their patterned paper are sized to work with their dies from the same release?!) …and once again they’re leaders when it comes to innovative slimline products.
This three card Class in a Kit is called Homespun Holidays and has a strong winter/seasonal theme, rather than focusing on a particular holiday. All of the stamping (the sentiments are Hero Arts’ Comfort and Joy Clear Stamps) and diecutting (including Sunny Studios’ Warm and Cozy set) has been done for you; and a detailed set of instructions, with individual photos of each card, is provided. You’ll need only basic cardmaking tools and a few adhesives to finish these three sweet and cozy cards. The hardest part might well be deciding which friends to send them to!
What’s purple and orange and spooky-cuuuute all over? The latest Take and Make Saturday at Paper Anthology, This SATURDAY, 10.24.20! So What’s a Take and Make? Well, it’s pretty much exactly like a Make and Take… because all of the parts and pieces are ready for you to assemble into an awesome card… but instead of doing that at the store, using shared supplies, you’ll take all the bits and pieces (plus complete instructions, of course) home and finish the card at your leisure. Thus: Take… and Make! This one features Halloween stamps and dies from Impression Obsession, and is just the thing to send to your favorite Ghoul or Boy, so stop in this Saturday and get your free Take and Make!
Impression Obsession has always been a well-loved brand at Paper Anthology, but this season they’ve really outdone themselves. Of course there are some terrific single stamps (like Mountain View, featured in the card above) and a line of autumn and winter Serendipity Stamps that will be lots of fun to color. But today’s post focuses on IO’s unique and innovative line of Slimline-sized stamps with nature-inspired designs that can be used on their own or combined to make beautiful scenes.
The series is called Slim Scenes, but of course these stamps could be used with amazing effect on ANY size of card! But they were designed especially for the very hot slimline card size, so they’re quite large (measuring 8.25″ in length) and you’ll find a full-sized stamp platform, like the Regular Hero MISTI, very helpful for making a good impression. Many designs feature several stamps, including Mountain Layers, Treeline Layers, Hillside Duo, Treeline Duo, Town Duo (see the sample, below) others, like Snowy Night, Cloudy Sky and Norway Spruce are singles. The Winter Greetings Sentiment Set coordinates with all of them; and dies like Pinkfresh Studios Slim Edgers and Slim Stitched Rectangles are also very complementary.
Need more inspiration? Every individual listing has at least one beautiful card made by the Impression Obsession design team! Click any of the links above and then checkout the thumbnails below the main listing!
Lawn Fawn goodies galore! New Fall and Holiday stamp sets, (including Creatures Who ARE Stirring… only LF could come up with irresistible mice who love to bake, right?!) new Lawn Cuts die sets; plus new accessories for their popular Shutter, Reveal Wheel and Magic Iris (you have to see the Camera!) series.
Brand new Impression Obsession! New hybrid ink colors, Fall and Holiday themed stamps, and LOTS of great new stamps sized for Slimline, but useful for ANY size card. Beautiful landscape elements like Mountains, Tree Lines, Hillsides, Snow, Clouds and more; each works wonderfully on its own, or you can use them together to Make a Scene… in a good way!
Glitter lovers rejoice! We’ve got twenty (20!!!) new colors of 8.5 x 11″ Non-shed Glitter Paper. Featuring a wide range of colors and several different scales, it’s not just 100% mess-free but DIECUTTABLE, too!
The Collins Virtual Show was a delightful and inspiring blur, full of new ideas, products and projects. Orders have been placed with Hero Arts, LDRS Designs, Graphic 45, Picket Fence Studios, Impression Obsession, Concord & 9th, Lawn Fawn, Penny Black, PhotoPlay and Dare 2B Artzy; stay tuned for sneak peeks of all the goodness coming soon to Paper Anthology!
We’re playing online this week with a weekend long crop at the Paper Anthology Facebook page – come and join us! One of the challenges was to create a Christmas in July card, so I decided to ink up this Dare 2b Artzy stamp that I have been dying to play with. Black embossed, fussy cut, with a few extra petals added for dimension. I added a sentiment with an Impression Obsession die and some gems from Studio Katia. Turns out it’s perfect for the current challenge over at Shopping our Stash as well!
This month’s Christmas Card Club card was inspired by the girls over at Jingle Belles.
While their “Hark the Hearald Angels Sing” challenge is over, I was inspired to use a beautiful musical notes background stamp from Impression Obsession. The main image is from Stampendous – colored with copic markers. The card is vintaged up with distress inks and glitzed up with some loose glitter, Nuvo drops and prills from US ArtQuest.
Thanks for stopping by!
