Ranger’s New Distress Color… What Will it Be?

Ranger’s first NEW Distress Color of 2024 will be announced next Saturday, January 13th, and Paper Anthology will be stocking ALL of the fabulous Distress products in this new shade:

Distress Ink Pads and Reinkers

Oxide Ink Pads and Reinkers

Distress Spray Stain

Oxide Spray

Distress Flip-top Paint

Embossing Glaze

Collectible Pins

AND… new this time, an individually packaged Distress Watercolor Pencil in the new shade.

Ranger is also releasing a brand new four pack of Mini Distress Inks, featuring the new shade packed in a set with the last three Distress Shades: Uncharted Mariner, Lumberjack Plaid and Lost Shadow.

If you’d like to reserve any variety of the new shade sight unseen, you can email now; or STAY TUNED because we’ll be posting the new color as soon as the announcement is made. The new items should be in-stock and available to purchase in-store or online sometime within a week or so of the announcement date. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know when they arrive!

While we’re all waiting to see what the new shade will be, how about a little contest? (Because NO, even Ranger Retailers have NO idea until the official announcement is made!) We’re giving away one free Distress Oxide Ink Pad in the new shade, to the person who’s guess is closest to the shade in the comments section of this blog post BEFORE midnight on January 12, 2024. One entry per customer, if there are multiple equal answers we’ll choose a winner randomly.

Ready… Set… GUESS!!!

  1. Hi!
I think it will be a medium purple color, something between shaded lilac and wilted violet.
    Thank you!

  2. I’m hoping it will be a bright orange!

  3. I’m thinking a yellow.

  4. They haven’t done a green hue lately so I’m gonna guess green.

  5. I am going to guess a dark red burgundy type color in time for Valentines Day! 💌

  6. I’m thinking some shade of a pretty pink color!

  7. My guess is a neutral tone that‘s next brushed corduroy, either darker or lighter.

  8. Hi! I am going with a shade of green.
