One Die Set, Three Ways: Wendy Vecchi Vintage Florals Edition

Longing for Spring? Join Lauren for this bright and bloomin’ class, featuring Wendy Vecchi’s beautiful new Vintage Florals die set; plus additional elements from Wendy’c Garden Collection by Spellbinders. We’ll do some diecutting (obviously, lol) including the inset diecut technique; we’ll hand-ink a beautiful set of blooms; and create a big (BIG!) blossom using one of Wendy’s own Tip Tuesday ideas! 

Cost is $24 and payable by cash or check only. Dates available: Monday, February 19th,11am – 2pm; Friday, March 1st: 6 – 9pm; Saturday, March 16th, 12 – 3 pm. Pleasee mail elisabeth@paperanthology.com to sign up.

Students are requested to bring their basic class kit with all the usual adhesives. Those who own a sanding block can bring them, but there will be several for the class to share.

Valentine’s Week Crop & Shop

Working on those last minute Valentines? Need a place to finish and wrap a little surprise… WITHOUT the recipient in the next room? Betty’s Crop and Shop Valentine’s Week edition is the solution, and it’s taking place on Tuesday, February 13th from 10am to 4pm.

Tuesdays are more productive when you plan ahead AND minimize distractions! Come on in to the store on Tuesday the Thirteenth from 10am to 4pm for freestyle papercrafting, without interruptions! Come alone, or meet up with friends. Bring a project you’d like to complete; or just grab your basic kit and treat yourself to a few new goodies (have you seen Spellbinders’ adorable new Monsters?!) Spread out on one of the big tables, help yourself to tea or coffee, check out all of our beautiful samples for inspiration. Stay for a few hours or hang out until 4pm.

Reservations are required, space is limited, and the cost is $10 per person. Please email elisabeth@paperanthology to reserve your place. Crop and Shop generally takes place every other Tuesday; but check the Events Calendar, or stay tuned for announcements of additional Tuesday Crop and Shop dates.

New Class: Pushing the Envelope

Prepare to DIE-cut and join Lauren for this brand new two-card class that really DELIVERS! Yes, you read that right, we’ll only be making TWO cards this time, but they’re BIG cards, measuring 5.5 x 7″ each… because they’re built around Spellbinders’ Envelope of Wonder die set which really makes an amazing statement. These can be Valentines, Galentines, extra-special birthday greetings or pretty much anything you choose. We’ll be using Concord & 9th’s Layers of Love stamp set for the sentiments, and students can choose from a variety of greetings, or hedge your bets and leave them blank. Lauren will provide oversized envelopes.

Cost is $20 and payable by cash or check only. Dates available: Saturday, January 27th: 12 pm – 3 pm; Friday, February 9th: 6 pm- 9 pm; or Monday, February 26th: 11 am – 2pm. Make and Take Saturday: 1/20/24

Paper Anthologists, plan stop by the store on Saturday, January 20th for a beautiful floral Make and Take! You’ll get to try out Spellbinders’ BetterPress and watercolor the results with luscious Karin Markers. As always, Paper Anthology Make and Takes are absolutely free and everyone is invited to stop by and partake, no purchase necessary. Bag ladies will receive double punches on all purchases. Holiday Card Swap Cards are Ready!

Paper Anthology’s 2023 crew of Holiday Card Swap participants have truly outdone themselves and produced the most gorgeous batch of swap cards ever!* If you’re amongst this elite group of papercrafters, your Swap Cards are ready to collect and you can pick them up at the store anytime! Last Holiday Jumpstart Kit of 2023!

December’s Holiday Jumpstart Card Kit is our pre-packaged kit that includes everything you need (except adhesives) to complete FIVE copies of this new original holiday card design. It’s called “Wooded Wonderland” since it features this lovely forest scene built using Memory Box, Spellbinders, Sunny Studio and Taylored Expressions dies. This kit is available in-store and online for $24. Locals, be sure to choose the “PICK UP IN STORE” option at checkout to save on shipping and we’ll keep it behind the counter until you’ve got time to pick it up.

This kit is slightly less of a “Jumpstart” as we move into December, but if you’re still working on holiday cards, you may appreciate having five more that just need simple assembly. This will be the last Holiday Jumpstart Kit of 2023, but don’t worry, we’ll be back with brand new variations starting in January of 2024!

This pre-packaged kit features everything you need (except adhesives) to complete five beautiful, shimmery Wooded Wonderland cards, including complete written instructions and a nice big photo for reference.

Sign Up Deadline: 3pm TODAY!

It’s the FINAL DAY to sign up for Spellbinders’ Pressed Posies BetterPress Online Class! If you’d like to participate, click the bold text to purchase the class kit OR email elisabeth@paperanthology.com by 3pm today, Monday, November 27th; after that, enrollment will be closed.

Complete details are below (and in the Spellbinders video which we posted HERE!) but the most important things to know are: the class will take place ONLINE via private FaceBook Group on January 12, 2024 at 4pm Pacific Time (that’s 7pm here in the East) and you must reserve your spot no later than tomorrow, November 26, 2023.

The Spellbinders’ BetterPress System is simple (and fun!) to use, but there are tons of wonderful techniques and tips that the makers of this system are excited to share as you create together in this class. Perfect for both a crafting newbie or a BetterPress fanatic, you will love creating these beautiful BetterPress cards and learning how to combine BetterPress products with Spellbinders’ new Sealed Collection of wax, seals and coordinating dies.

Note that you’ll be taking this class online at home, so you’ll need to have the BetterPress Letterpress System by Spellbinders as well as the exclusive Class Kit, which is included in the price of the class and will arrive at Paper Anthology in early December with plenty of time for us to ship to you OR for local customers to pick up. You’ll also need a computer with internet access; after sign-up you’ll be given a password for the class’ private FaceBook Group. Note that the class will be archived so that you can watch it later, if the original timeframe doesn’t work for you; or watch it again to review any of the techniques. The class is expected to take approximately two hours.

The cost is $55 and includes some truly lovely new products from Spellbinders, which you’ll receive before they are released to the public! Paper Anthology already has in-stock the Spellbinders “Sealed” Starter Kit, which is optional for the class, though if you do not currently have a way to melt wax beads, it’s a nice set that will make the process even easier! Our stock of lovely new Spellbinders’ Sealed Collection of seals, wax beads, and accessories is now available online and in-store as well.

You can also purchase two exclusive (optional!) Add-Ons which coordinate with the products used in The Class Kit: these consist of the Cosmos Add-On Bundle and the Gold Sparkle Add-on Bundle both of which are pictured below.

2023 Holiday Card Swap

Wouldn’t we all like to receive five beautiful, unique, handmade holiday cards, created by our fellow Paper Anthologists? Well, let’s do it! Sign up for the 2023 Paper Anthology Holiday Card Swap by emailing elisabeth@paperanthology no later than Saturday, November 25th. Then make five holiday cards (they can be of the same design, or different) and drop them off (with appropriate envelopes) at Paper Anthology by Saturday, December 2nd. Your swap cards will be ready for you to pick up on Saturday, December 9th. Participants who make a sixth card will have it displayed in the store for all to admire.

Please note: For this event we request that no products from demonstrator companies (such as Stampin’ Up or Close to My Heart) be included in your card designs.

Need a little inspiration to get started? We’ve got some gorgeous new holiday paper lines in-store, including Echo Park’s Winter Land (see photo above) as well as Doodlebug’s Gingerbread Kisses and Carta Bella’s Season’s Greetings (both pictured below). Not to mention lots of beautiful stamps and dies from all your favorite companies; and don’t forget the lovely Press Plates and accessories for Spellbinders’ BetterPress System. NEW Holiday Jumpstart: Peaceful Cottage

We all looooooove the IDEA of making holiday cards throughout the year, instead being overloaded in November and December, but honestly, it can be difficult to be inspired during the “off-season”. Paper Anthology’s Christmas Card Club is a wonderful solution, but it fills up quickly, and what if you can’t make it to the store one Friday night per month? Here’s an additional option that works entirely on your schedule.

This pre-packaged kit features diecuts made with Spellbinders Winter Label Motifs Die Set and a background that’s embossed with Sunny Studio’s Moroccan Circles Embossing Folder. The kit contains everything you need (except adhesives) to complete five cards in a brand new festive design. This edition is called “Peaceful Cottage” and we think it lives up to its name.

New Class: BetterPress Sampler

Join Elisabeth for an introduction to Spellbinders’ BetterPress Letterpress system!  We’ll be creating four cards using this brand new, award-winning system: Two cards that feature the pretty floral Press Plate included with the system, as well as a gorgeous fall framed card and a beautifully bold Christmas card. We’ll also get to watercolor with Distress Watercolor Pencils.  You’ll be amazed (& yes, IMPRESSED!) by how easy it is to create beautiful letterpress cards!
