With Halloween on it’s way, we’ve put the focus on hocus pocus! It’s not just WITCH-ful thinking, our newest Class in a Kit, Happy Haunting, really is creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky; not to mention cute as can be, and thus these cards are suitable for sending to boys and ghouls of all ages. The designs are built around some of our favorite seasonal stamps and dies from Impression Obsession, Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts and more; but here’s the best part: ALL of the diecuts have been pre-cut for you; and all of the sentiments pre-stamped! You get to skip right to the FUN parts: arranging, assembling and attaching all the elements into some of the fastest (and cutest!) Halloween cards ever.

This kit has everything you need… (except adhesives and optional ink for edging) including LOTS of googley eyes! …to create all three A2 cards as pictured, as well as step-by-step instructions and a nice big color photo to help with placement. It’s all treats and no tricks. 70% Off?! NO WAY! (Yes, Way!)

The Paper Anthology Store Closing Sale continues and you might think there cannot be anything awesome left, but boy would you be wrong! We still have lots of stamps, dies, stencils, tools, cardstock and patterned paper from your favorite brands including Spellbinders, Gina K, Taylored Expressions, Lawn Fawn, Art Impressions, Penny Black, Stampendous, AlteNew and lots more! Soooooo… starting tomorrow evening, Thursday, June 20th, all FULL-PRICED inventory will be 70% off!

Clearance bins and store props are not included in the sale, because they’re already at amazing bargain prices; but we keep finding interesting treasures to add to the Clearance section, as well as cards and project samples from various classes throughout the years. By the way, we’re also selling the fixtures, fittings, furniture and display items; and quite a few have been reserved, but there are lots left, so if you need paper racks, slat-wall accessories, spinners or other storage, please email elisabeth@paperanthology.com to inquire, or speak to Elisabeth when you stop by to shop.

January’s Holiday Jumpstart: Poinsettia Joy

January’s Holiday Jumpstart Card Kit is our pre-packaged kit that includes everything you need (except adhesives) to complete FIVE copies of this new original holiday card design. It’s called “Poinsettia Joy” since it features diecuts from Penny Black’s Stitched Poinsettia die set and Memory Box’s Brilliant Joy die set. This kit is available in-store and online for $25. Locals, be sure to choose the “PICK UP IN STORE” option at checkout to save on shipping and we’ll keep it behind the counter until you’ve got time to pick it up.

We all adore the IDEA of making holiday cards throughout the year, instead being overloaded in November and December, but it can be difficult to be inspired during the “off-season”. Paper Anthology’s Christmas Card Club is a wonderful solution, but it fills up quickly, and what if you can’t make it to the store one Friday night per month? Here’s an additional, self-paced option that works entirely on your schedule.

Last Holiday Jumpstart Kit of 2023!

December’s Holiday Jumpstart Card Kit is our pre-packaged kit that includes everything you need (except adhesives) to complete FIVE copies of this new original holiday card design. It’s called “Wooded Wonderland” since it features this lovely forest scene built using Memory Box, Spellbinders, Sunny Studio and Taylored Expressions dies. This kit is available in-store and online for $24. Locals, be sure to choose the “PICK UP IN STORE” option at checkout to save on shipping and we’ll keep it behind the counter until you’ve got time to pick it up.

This kit is slightly less of a “Jumpstart” as we move into December, but if you’re still working on holiday cards, you may appreciate having five more that just need simple assembly. This will be the last Holiday Jumpstart Kit of 2023, but don’t worry, we’ll be back with brand new variations starting in January of 2024!

It’s a Big BLOOMIN’ Sale (With a Twist!)

We call it Flower Frenzy and you can take 25% OFF any product in the store which features at least ONE FLOWER! So what does that cover? Flower stamp sets like Altenew, Penny Black and Pinkfresh? (Of course!) What about a cute Lawn Fawn set that has ten mice and one flower? (Still counts!) Patterned paper with flowers? (Uh-huh!) Flower dies and stencils? (Certainly!) Paper flowers? (Obviously!) Aha, but what about Inks, paints and embossing powders though, it can’t cover those, right? Yes, it can…If they have a flower name like Tattered Rose Distress or Rosey Posey Archival (Hint: MANY of the Wendy Vecchi inks have flower names and lots come in both Dye and Archival formulas!) What about leafy stamps and dies? Ok no, those would not count, ’cause it’s a Flower Frenzy, not a Foliage Frenzy. Basically, if it LOOKS flowery or it SOUNDS flowery, it’s 25% off! There are waaaaaaaay too many items to mention as examples, so you should probably just stop by and see how many you can find!

The fine print: Sale starts Thursday evening at 5pm (4/20) and runs through Saturday evening (4/22) at 5pm and applies to in-stock, in-store purchases only; clearance items are excluded. No loyalty card punches will be given on sale-priced items. Paper Anthology cannot provide allergy medication for flower-related allergies, but we do have tissues. Hope to see you at the sale!

New Class: Vintage Hues

Join Elisabeth for this six (6!) card class featuring beautiful Vintage Hues Transparencies from Stamp-On-It.  Always a popular class, these transparencies, paired with glitter film, make for a stunning focal point to your cards!  (The picture never does these cards justice; stop in to see the class samples live – trust me, you’ll want to make your own set!)  Paired with beautiful patterned paper, with Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn sentiments, you’ll whip up this six card set in no time.

Students are requested to bring their basic kit – make sure you have scissors and liquid adhesive, like Nuvo or UltraBond.

CCC: October Edition

Join Elisabeth for another edition of Christmas Card Club!  The card is inspired by a birthday card Elisabeth received from Beverly Rowan – a super-sophisticated, yet fantastically simple stand-up card that folds flat to fit in an A2 envelope. Lawn Fawn stamps and dies from Hero Arts and Penny Black are featured.

This edition will take place on Friday, October 28th, from 5 – 9 pm. Cost is $26 and includes dinner. Email elisabeth@paperanthology.com to reserve your place. Participants are requested to bring their basic kit and a little bit of holiday spirit! All the paper, embellishments and supplies you’ll need to make five cards of this design will be prepared; all you have to do is show up and assemble them. It’s a fun way to enjoy a crafty night out and get a jump on holiday card production. New members are always welcome, but space is limited, so email Elisabeth today!   

(Please note that while the meeting starts at 5pm, you do not have to arrive by 5pm – you should be able to complete all five cards, even if you can’t arrive until later.)

NEW Autumn Harvest Class

Join Elisabeth for a harvest of fall-inspired cards featuring stamps from Taylored Expressions, Lawn Fawn and Stampendous with a bounty of techniques: stencils, ink blending, heat embossing, Copic Marker coloring and even watercoloring with the new Distress watercolor pencils!

Happy (Crafty!) Holidays

Lots of seasonal inspiration from the second day of classes at the Collins Show. Spellbinders (above) has outdone themselves once more, with a collection of dies, embossing folders and sentiments that will be as beautiful and useful in years to come as they are right now. Hero Arts (below) has some utterly gorgeous layered stamping, diecuts and cool techniques! And of course Lawn Fawn’s “APPLE-SOLUTELY” adorable cadre of mice (bottom photo) are warming up to do some harvesting and baking this autumn, followed by “SNOW MUCH FUN” when winter rolls around. Items from the show will start arriving at the beginning of August, so stay tuned for updates!

It’s That Time Again

The summer 2022 edition of the Collins Group Virtual Retailers’ Symposium is taking place this week, so stay tuned to see some of the brand new products which will be making their way to Paper Anthology this August and September. Collins always starts off with an event they call the Sample Making Frenzy, and as ever, it’s really lived up to its name. In this photo there are beautiful new items from Spellbinders, The Crafters Workshop, Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts, Dare 2B Artzy, Impression Obsession, Stampendous, Photoplay and Scrapbook Adhesives.
