Holiday Jumpstart: Celebrate the Season

Say hello to our March Holiday Jumpstart: Celebrate the Season. When it arrives, everything in your kit is silver or white, which means that you can add literally ANY colors you love to make this design truly your own. Details about the five specific blends of Ranger Distress Oxide Inks used on the samples are provided, but this technique will work with literally any two analogous colors of blend-able water-based inks you’d like to use!

Paper Anthology’s Holiday Jumpstart Card Kit is our pre-packaged kit that includes everything you need (except inks, adhesives and optional dimensional paint drops) to complete FIVE copies of this new original holiday card design. It’s called “Celebrate the Season” because of the elegant two-part sentiment (pre-cut for you with Altenew’s Christmas Season die set). The debossed panels are made with Altenew’s Starry Pattern 3-D Embossing Folder, which resembles (to Lauren, at least!) stylized snowflakes.

Paper Anthology’s Christmas Card Club is a wonderful solution, but it fills up quickly, and what if you can’t make it to the store one Friday night per month? Here’s an additional, self-paced option that works entirely on your schedule.

  • Five white debossed squares on which to add your own choice of colors

  • Five pre-diecut silver glitter paper “Season” sentiments

New Class: Let’s Get Inky!

Come and get INKY with Lauren! In this technique-driven class we’ll blend Distress Oxide Inks on plain cardstock, through a stencil and atop white-embossing; then we’ll stamp, we’ll stencil, we’ll overstamp in Ranger Archivals, we’ll stencil a bit more, we’ll do a little bit of coloring (with Tombows), we’ll diecut and… well, we will generally celebrate all the stamping techniques that made us love this hobby, but we’ll revisit them in new ways for a fresh, eclectic look. This class features stamps, stencils, dies and gorgeous butterfly ephemera from Aall & Create as well as Ranger Inks.

Cost is $24 and payable by cash or check only. Dates available: Monday, April 8th: 11am-2pm; Saturday, April 13th: 12-3pm; Friday, May 3rd: 6-9pm. We won’t be getting terribly messy, but you might not want to wear anything white or dry-clean only! ;)

New Class: BetterPress Sampler

Join Elisabeth for an introduction to Spellbinders’ BetterPress Letterpress system!  We’ll be creating four cards using this brand new, award-winning system: Two cards that feature the pretty floral Press Plate included with the system, as well as a gorgeous fall framed card and a beautifully bold Christmas card. We’ll also get to watercolor with Distress Watercolor Pencils.  You’ll be amazed (& yes, IMPRESSED!) by how easy it is to create beautiful letterpress cards!

Ranger Technique Class (NEW!)

Join Elisabeth for a new version of an old favorite – The Ranger Technique Class!  We’ll be playing with all things Ranger to create lovely backgrounds:  Alcohol Ink,  Archival Ink and Distress Ink techniques will be combined with stamps, stencils and embossing powders featuring the beautiful images from Tim Holtz’s Botanical Collage stamp set.

If you missed the SHELL-ebration class, it’s now available as a Paper Anthology Class in a Kit, with a large full-color photo and step-by-step instructions. If you own the Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Pencils, this is a great way to practice with them; but if not you can use any coloring media with similar shades… OR branch out and do your own thing!
