Holiday Jumpstart: Bottle Brush Trees (Dies Included)

March’s Holiday Jumpstart Card Kit is now available at Paper Anthology and since this one includes Spellbinders’ super-cute, super-useful Bottle Brush Trees Die Set, after you’ve completed the kit cards you can keep on cuttin’ and make as many different versions as you’d like!

We ALL love the idea of making our holiday cards during the year, right? But honestly, it can be difficult to be inspired during the “off-season”. Paper Anthology’s Christmas Card Club is a wonderful solution, but it fills up quickly, and what if you can’t make it to the store one Friday night per month? Here’s an additional option that works entirely on your schedule.

It’s a pre-packaged kit we’ve called Holiday Jumpstart (cute name, right?) that includes everything you need (except adhesive) to complete FIVE copies of a brand new original holiday card design. This month’s edition is called “Bottle Brush Trees” (for obvious reasons) and we hope you’ll think it’s TREE-mendous!*

This kit contains:

  • Spellbinders’ Bottle Brush Trees Die Set
  • Five white top-fold A2 card bases;
  • Five 4 x 5.25″ plaid panels;
  • Five pink Knit Picky accent strips;
  • Five pre-cut “Happy Holidays” Circle Frames;
  • Five Glacier Blue circle insets;
  • Enough white glitter cardstock, white shimmer cardstock, pale green, kraft and grocers kraft cardstock to diecut trees and bases for five cards;
  • Ten pink glitter sticky-back pearls;
  • Enough tiny gold star sequins to scatter on all five cards;
  • Complete directions, product details and full-sized color photo.

These kits are now available in-store (and YES, they are THERE right now!) and online at Paper Anthology. If YOU could use like a Holiday Jumpstart, we hope you’ll check them out.

*No, we cannot stop Lauren from perpetrating Diabolical Puns for all occasions. Sorry about that.

A few cards to share…

Thought I’d share a few cards I’ve been working on this week.  The first card is for the February meeting of the Christmas card club and features a beautiful stamp from Northwoods stamps and paper from Lawn Fawn.  The image is colored with Peerless watercolors and the snowy frame was done with my favorite technique for dimensional snow – “Designer Dries White” adhesive from Art Glitter applied with a fineline applicator with clear glitter sprinkled over it while still wet.

The next card is for this coming Sunday’s Make and Take Sunday,  featuring a new stamp set from Lawn Fawn as well as one of their lovely plaid papers!  The “hand-drawn” border is actually an awesome stamp from Rubbernecker stamps.

May CCC: Home for Christmas

Join Elisabeth on May 12th for another edition of Paper Anthology’s Christmas Card Club: This sophisticated slimline card is brought to you by Impression Obsession– a beautiful serene image of a cottage in a  snow-filled forest, softly watercolored and shimmering with fresh fallen snow (you can’t tell in the photo, but there’s sparkly glitter all over!)

Christmas Card Club is the perfect solution for those of us who dread the prospect of mass-producing dozens of holiday cards in December! At each meeting, we’ll debut a brand new original holiday card design and pull together all the paper, embellishments and supplies you’ll need to make five cards of that design; all you have to do is show up and assemble them. A fun way to enjoy a crafty night out and get a jump on holiday card production… and dinner is included! New members are always welcome, but each date fills up FAST, so don’t hesitate. Please note that while the meeting starts at 5pm, you do not have to arrive by 5 – you should be able to complete all 5 cards, even if you can’t arrive until later.

Cost is $25 and includes dinner. Email elisabeth@paperanthology.com today to reserve your place. Please bring your basic kit and a little holiday spirit!

March Christmas Card Club

This month’s Christmas Card Club card was inspired by the girls over at Jingle Belles.

While their “Hark the Hearald Angels Sing” challenge is over, I was inspired to use a beautiful musical notes background stamp from Impression Obsession.  The main image is from Stampendous – colored with copic markers.  The card is vintaged up with distress inks and glitzed up with some loose glitter, Nuvo drops and prills from US ArtQuest.

Thanks for stopping by!
