One Layer Card:

The current challenge at Shopping out Stash is the dreaded one layer card ( That means everything on your card must be directly stamped, embossed, drawn, coloured etc. directly on your card base…no layers!!)  Well, about 4 months ago, I ordered a stamp set from Northwood’s Stamps, specifically to make a birthday card for my husband.  His Birthday is tomorrow.  I work best under pressure.   Super simple:  Watercolor paper card base.  Image stamped in Gina K Amalgam ink.  A soft wash of distress inks, then a light splatter.  Sentiment from Cat’s Life Press.  voilà  – 5 minute card!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. at my house the phrase “5 minute card” is only used ironically, to indicate a process which SHOULD be simple and easy, but inexplicably winds up taking several days and perhaps a visit from paramedics lol. so it is thus doubly impressive to me that this card is so incredibly lovely AND you made it quickly. and i hope you got northwoods to pay you a royalty for making a stamp out of the view from your dock!!!!!!!!!! :) thanks for SHOPPING YOUR (one layer!) STASH with us this fortnight! ♥♥♥

  2. I love this card Elisabeth! Transports you right there – ahhhh! Hope to see you soon.

  3. WOW This is the card you mentioned last night at class. Beautiful – this stamp can be used in sooo many different ways
