What Are You Doing Tuesday?

Why not spend next Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 10am to 4pm, at Paper Anthology, where this year’s second session of Betty’s Crop and Shop will be taking place!

Tuesdays are more productive when you plan ahead AND minimize distractions! Come on in to the store on Tuesday (1-16-24) from 10am to 4pm for freestyle papercrafting, without interruptions! Come alone, or meet up with friends. Bring a project you’d like to complete; or just grab your basic kit and treat yourself to a few new goodies (Hero Arts’ ShopBox is especially gorgeous… just sayin’…). Spread out on one of the big tables, help yourself to tea or coffee, check out all of our beautiful samples for inspiration. Stay for a few hours or hang out until 4pm.

Reservations are required, and the cost is $10 per person. Please email elisabeth@paperanthology to reserve your place. Crop and Shop generally takes place every other Tuesday; but check the Events Calendar, or stay tuned for announcements of additional Tuesday Crop and Shop dates.

Closing at 3pm Today (1-6-24)

Paper Anthology will be closing early today, Saturday, January 6, 2024 (at 3pm rather than 5pm) in order to welcome* the first Winter Storm of the year from the safety of home. Here’s hoping that the name “Ember” will be prophetic and keep New Jersey too warm for snow accumulation. Meanwhile, if you’re out and about this weekend please take care. And do check for updates before venturing out on Monday… just in case!

*Using the word “welcome” in the LOOSEST possible sense here; afterall, half of the word sNOw is NO… a coincidence?! We think not!

Hero Arts 2024 Spring ShopBox is HERE!

An exclusive collection of products from the Hero Arts Spring 2024 ShopBox is now available in-store at Paper Anthology. These twice yearly ShopBox collections are Hero Arts’ way to support independent papercrafting retailers like us! This advance selection of brand new products are only available in a select group of small, brick and mortar (like Paper Anthology) and won’t be available on-line or anywhere else for the next couple of weeks. So stop by soon and check out the complete selection. Meanwhile if you see a “must-have” feel free to email elisabeth@paperanthology so we can set it aside for you!

Ranger’s New Distress Color… What Will it Be?

Ranger’s first NEW Distress Color of 2024 will be announced next Saturday, January 13th, and Paper Anthology will be stocking ALL of the fabulous Distress products in this new shade:

AND… new this time, an individually packaged Distress Watercolor Pencil in the new shade.

Ranger is also releasing a brand new four pack of Mini Distress Inks, featuring the new shade packed in a set with the last three Distress Shades: Uncharted Mariner, Lumberjack Plaid and Lost Shadow.

The new items should be in-stock and available to purchase in-store or online sometime within a week or so of the announcement date. Don’t worry, we’ll let you know when they arrive!

While we’re all waiting to see what the new shade will be, how about a little contest? (Because NO, even Ranger Retailers have NO idea until the official announcement is made!) We’re giving away one free Distress Oxide Ink Pad in the new shade, to the person who’s guess is closest to the shade in the comments section of this blog post BEFORE midnight on January 12, 2024. One entry per customer, if there are multiple equal answers we’ll choose a winner randomly.

One Stamp Set, Three Ways (New Class)

Join Elisabeth for for a brand new take on the always-popular “One Stamp Set, Three Ways” class format.  We’ll create three cards with very different looks, using the exact same stamp set from Honey Bee Stamps; with the help of some lovely dies from Penny Black and Sunny Studio!  Stencils, painting, embossing – this class has a bit of everything!

Dates available: Friday, January 19th: 6pm – 9 pm; Thursday, February 8th: 6pm- 9 pm; Saturday, February 24th: 12pm –3pm. Cost is $24 payable by cash or check only. Please email elisabeth@paperanthology.com to reserve your spot!

New Class: Who’s The BOSS?

Want to learn how to emboss like a boss? Join Elisabeth for this three card class featuring Altenew 3D Embossing Folders. We’ll learn some wonderful tips and tricks… and just for fun, we’ll throw in a bit of heat embossing as well!  

Dates Available: Thursday, January 11th: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm; Friday, January 26th: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm; Saturday, February 3rd: 12:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Cost is $24 payable by cash or check only. Email elisabeth@paperanthology.com to reserve your spot, today!

Students are requested to bring your basic class kit with all the usual adhesives, as well as a pair of detail scissors for a bit of fussy cutting.

Happy New Year!

As we ring in 2024, this seems like an excellent time to say THANK YOU to all of our lovely crafty friends for supporting Paper Anthology throughout 2023! Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, Wesołych Swiąt, Feliz Navidad, Buon Natale, Joyeux Noel, God Jul, Fröhliche Weihnacht, or in whatever language you say it… the entire Paper Anthology family wishes you the happiest and healthiest of holidays!

The store will re-open on Thursday and Friday evening with regular hours (6-9pm) and if you can possibly plan to stop by on Saturday, December 30th between 10am and 5pm, we highly recommend the trip! (Spoiler Alert: we have something FUN planned for that day!)
