Once again Tim Holtz is sharing his 12 tags of Christmas with us. It’s in it’s 5 th year and as always, promises to be full of inspiration! Each year I play along with at least a few of the tags, switching it up a bit to accommodate my stash of supplies. Here’s my take on the first tag:

Smash books have arrived at Paper Anthology, and I have to admit, before they came in I wasn’t altogether sold on the idea but now that I’ve had a chance to look at them up close and personal I am in love! Such a fun line of accessories to fill these beautiful journal books with the stuff of our lives – the little things we collect along the way to building a memory.

Inside the green one (my favorite of course!) I found a quote that summed it all up for me – why I scrapbook and it’s importance to me. I thought I’d share it here:
The truth is that it’s not really about this stuff at all.
It’s about the evidence of living, the proof that I was here.
Thought some thoughts, lived some life.
These bits are simply meant to jog the memory into remembering –
And remembering is perhaps the best way to recycle.
Remember to stop by next Saturday, December 10, for the Hero Arts Catalog preview!
