What’s the difference…

…between dye inks and pigments inks?  It’s a question that I get asked often at the store.    Well, I found a great video by Jennifer McGuire that explains it well, so I thought I’d share:

Ink Comparison

Just a quick thank you to everyone that stopped by for our Anniversary party this weekend, it was a blast!

Winners of the raffle will be posted on the blog tomorrow evening!

Here’s the recipe for that awesome Turkey chili that Heather made:

3 lbs ground turkey

2 medium onions, finely chopped

6 cloves garlic, crushed

1/4 tsp pepper

1/4 tsp allspice

1/4 tsp cloves

1 bay leaf

2 tsp salt

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp cumin

1  tsp cayenne pepper (adjust to taste – this amount makes it pretty spicy!)

1 tsp cocoa powder

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

2 tbsp cider vinegar

15 oz tomato sauce

Put turkey, onions and garlic in large pot.  On medium high heat, brown and drain off fat.  Add remaining ingredients, stir well.  Reduce heat to medium low and simmer about 15 minutes.

And here’s the recipe for the pumpkin dip: ridiculously easy, and really yummy!…

1 15oz can packed pumpkin

1 5oz box vanilla instant pudding mix

1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

1 16 oz container frozen whipped topping, thawed.

Mix pumpkin, pudding mix powder and pumpkin pie spice until well blended.  Fold in whipped topping.  Done.  This looks cute served in a hollowed out pumpkin.  Serve with graham crackers, nilla wafers, gingersnaps, apple slices or anything else you think might taste good.  (hint: oatmeal raisin cookies work…so do chocolate chip cookies…really any vehicle to get the dip out of the pumpkin and into your mouth)

Did you happen to notice…

The new tab at the top right?  I linked up to an old, forgotten blog of mine full of card sketches that I have made over the years.  I’ll be adding new sketches periodically – check it out if you’re looking for some inspiration!  Card sketches are a great starting point to jump start your creativity.  Pick a sketch and then change it up or keep to the exact sketch…you can turn them on their side, add elements or take them away, just have fun!

For everyone that’s been waiting – The new Envelope Maker is finally in!!!  Most of them are already spoken for, but we do have a few extras…first come first served!
