July Christmas Card Club

When: Friday, July 23, 2021, 5-9pm

Where: Paper Anthology (yes, in person!)

Who: The first six fully vaccinated Paper Anthologists who reserve their spots by EMAILING elisabeth@paperanthology.com AND including a photo of their vaccination card. (Please note that ONLY email requests will be taken; no phone calls, FB messages, etc. for this event.)

Why: Because making holiday cards in December, all by yourself, is so much less fun!

Please read all the details, below:

We’ll each be making five cards of one design (pictured above) featuring Hero Arts’ “Holly Berries” stamps and dies from the new ShopBox release; and Penny Black’s awesome “Stitches of Love” dies. The price will be $25 and includes dinner.

As mentioned above, we’ll be keeping the size small, with just six fully vaccinated participants. To reserve your place,  EMAIL elisabeth@paperanthology.com AND include a photo of your vaccination card. Please note that all Paper Anthology staff members are fully vaccinated and we’re taking care to keep surfaces and hands extra clean. If you’d like to wear a mask during class you’re very welcome, but be aware that your (fully vaccinated) fellow participants will not be.

If you can’t make the date, or you’re not vaccinated yet, or you aren’t one of the first six to email Elisabeth, there will be some kits available at a later date, to purchase and make at home; stay tuned for details on those!

Hero Arts ShopBox is Here!

Christmas in July has never been more exciting, thanks to the wonderful winter-themed Hero Arts ShopBox, which has just arrived at Paper Anthology! Please note that these products are only available for purchase IN STORE, but you can email elisabeth@paperanthology.com to reserve your favorites! Check out this short video showing the collection:

There are beautiful dies, like this three-part diorama, Looking Glass Winter Forest which lets you make a multi-layer forest landscape with just three easy cuts! Hero Arts never disappoints when it comes to stamps, of course; this sentiment is one of three that are featured in the Christmas Robins stamp set, shown in the top photo from Hero; there’s a coordinating die set available for the Robins, as well.

The Snowy Rooftops Old Prints stamp pairs beautifully with the Elegant Window fancy die; (just imagine HOW MANY ways you could use that window!) the “warm and cozy” sentiment comes from the Christmas Holidays Stamp and Cut set which features two large diecut greetings with shadows (“Happy Holidays” and Merry Christmas“) as well as thirteen smaller sentiments which can be used separately or together.

Slimline cards are still a huge trend and this Slimline Christmas and New Year Cover Plate die lets you make an effortless shaker card… plus… you’ve got those cut-out letters to arrange in any way you like on a second BONUS card!

There are lots more beautiful and useful items, including Holly Berries stamps and coordinating Holly Berries Frame Cuts Die Set

Christmas Rose stamps and coordinating Christmas Rose Frame Cuts Die Set

Beautiful Large Snowflakes and Swirls dies…

And a Buffalo Check Pattern Bold Prints Cover Stamp!

To see the entire collection, scroll back up watch the video reveal OR stop by Paper Anthology to see everything in person!

Altenew 3D Embossing Folders (WOW!)

It might seem odd that Altenew’s new line of embossing folders all have “3D” in their name; afterall, every embossing folder creates a 3D effect, that’s nothing new, right? Except… these are DIFFERENT! They’re much more deeply embossed than traditional folders. So much so, that still photos don’t really convey their intricacies. You should probably watch the video!

The collection includes: Daisies, Mod Squares, Deck Planks, Simple Frame, Dreamy Tiles, Banana Leaves, Spring Blossoms, Enchanting Vines, Waffled Diamonds, Whimsical Bouquet, and Decorative Florals . The Metallic Rub-Ons used on these samples come in four different palettes, each with seven coordinating opaque shades that can be applied selectively to any project for some subtle shimmer and drama.

What Are You Doing September 25th?

Before we begin, please note that every word in this post depends on the “CoVid Situation” being at a manageable level this fall, and that state and local regulations will allow medium-to-large gatherings to take place!

BUT…

We are *cautiously* proceeding in the hopes that we will be able to hold the Paper Anthology Papercrafters’ Garage Sale on September 25, 2021. To that end, if you’d like to be a vendor, please email elisabeth@paperanthology.com to reserve a spot and obtain your number. Then, please read the rest of this post!

Vendor Information

1. Vendors need not be present at the sale, all items are displayed together, arranged roughly in categories, on tables inside and (weather permitting) outside Paper Anthology.

2. Each vendor will be given an individual number, which must be marked CLEARLY on all your items, along with the price you’ve set for that item.

3. Buyers will be able to pay for all their items in one transaction, and the amounts due to each vendor will be recorded at the register. At the end of the day, each vendor’s sales will be tallied and the total, less 5% vending fee, will be presented to you, the following week, in the form of a Paper Anthology Gift Card.

4. All sale items must be CLEARLY MARKED with your vendor number and your price. Yes, we already mentioned this in Point 1, but experience has taught us, we cannot possibly overstress the importance of clarity! If the cash register operator cannot decipher your price, they will have to GUESS. If they cannot decipher your vendor number, the sale will be recorded to Paper Anthology. We highly recommend un-smudge-able ink and nice sturdy stickers.

5. Prices must end in .25 cents, .50 cents, .75 cents or .00! If you have a bunch of items you’d like to price at .10 cents each, group them together in a little bag! (Grab bags and “collections” of miscellaneous paper or embellies generally sell really well; we all love a “surprise” assortment, right?)

6. Sale items may be dropped off no earlier than the Saturday before the sale (9.18.21) and picked up no later than the Saturday after the sale (10.2.21).

The price will be $25 and includes dinner. The date will be Friday, June 25th, 5pm-9pm.

Some things are NEWso this is the part to read carefully: We will be limiting this event to the first six fully vaccinated Paper Anthologists who reserve their spots by EMAILING elisabeth@paperanthology.com AND including a photo of their vaccination card. (To give everyone equal footing, ONLY email requests will be taken at this time; no phone calls, FaceBook messages, etc. for this particular event.)

My Girls

This layout featuring daughters Magda and Monika (also known as Henry, Emery and Tadzio’s moms) is made with papers and cardstock stickers from P13’s beautiful new collection, Stitched With Love. The title is done with PinkFresh’s Heather Uppercase and Heather Lowercase die sets, each character in both sets (the lower case also has the numerals 0-9) consists of both the letter AND that skinny skinny outline for a super sophisticated look. FYI: Pinkfresh’s Lea’s Ornate Uppercase and Lowercase have the same sort of outline; while their Kelly Uppercase and Lowercase die sets have a pretty pattern of hearts and leaves cut into each letter.
