New Class in a Kit (& Lots More New Stuff!)

Brand new, in-store and online, it’s a Graphic 45 “Life is Abundant” Interactive Folio Class in a Kit that you really have to see! With all the papers, embellishments and instructions you need to make this beautiful folio, with lots of flips and folds and waterfalls to hold LOADS of photos, text, souvenirs and more. Last Holiday Jumpstart Kit of 2023!

December’s Holiday Jumpstart Card Kit is our pre-packaged kit that includes everything you need (except adhesives) to complete FIVE copies of this new original holiday card design. It’s called “Wooded Wonderland” since it features this lovely forest scene built using Memory Box, Spellbinders, Sunny Studio and Taylored Expressions dies. This kit is available in-store and online for $24. Locals, be sure to choose the “PICK UP IN STORE” option at checkout to save on shipping and we’ll keep it behind the counter until you’ve got time to pick it up.

This kit is slightly less of a “Jumpstart” as we move into December, but if you’re still working on holiday cards, you may appreciate having five more that just need simple assembly. Holiday Jumpstart: Jingle All the Way Card Kit

Do you love the idea of making your holiday cards during the year but find it hard to get started off-season? Paper Anthology’s Christmas Card Club is a great solution, but it fills up quickly, and what if you can’t make it to the store one Friday night per month? Here’s a brand new alternative (because Christmas Card Club WILL be back in February!) that runs 100% on your schedule.

It’s a pre-packaged kit we’ve called Holiday Jumpstart (cute name, right?) that includes everything you need (except ink and adhesive) to complete FIVE copies of a brand new original holiday card design. This month’s edition is called “Jingle All the Way” because it’s built around Creative Expressions’ die of the same name. To illustrate, Lauren made five sample cards using five different colorways, and she’s included the recipes for those in the kit, but you can make them all the same OR rock your own favorite shades. For that matter, this design will work with ANY combination of blendable dye or hybrid inks you love; it could even be made using a single shade of ink or watercolor.

In the kit, you’ll get: 

  • Five white A2 tent-fold card bases; 
  • Five white panels embossed with the Taylored Expressions Sheet Music Embossing Folder; 
  • Five plain white ovals of nice sturdy cardstock to create your own ink-blended goodness; 
  • Five silver metallic cardstock “Jingle All the Way” diecuts;  
  • Enough white seam binding to create five bows; 
  • Complete directions, product details and full color photos.

Mistletoe Magic Class with Shari

Join Shari For this lovely holiday class where you will create a 4 card set and matching box. The box is sized to hold A2 cards, but would also be perfect for that special present… or give the box and cards as a gift set! The class features the ever popular create-in-quads stencils from Taylored Expressions. The lovely sentiment set is from Taylored Expressions as well. Please bring your basic class kit as well as a Wendy Vecchi Staytion, if you have one. (We all highly endorse this wonderful tool when working with stencils!)

Happy Easter

This beautiful card features an image, sentiment and die from Taylored Expressions Cottontail Wishes Stamp and Die Combo, which cleverly includes five other, non-seasonal greetings (Miss You, Happy Everything, Hello There, Celebrating You and Welcome Little One) so that you can use it all through the year, for everything from birthdays to babies to “just because” cards! The sweet bunny was stamped on Northwoods Watercolor Paper (not available online, but there’s plenty in stock!) and watercolored with Tombow Dual Brush Pens (we’ve got 101 colors!). The sentiment was stamped separately and diecut with Penny Black Ribbon Stackers.

Flowers in February

We won’t be seeing flowers in our gardens for a bit yet, alas, but we can see them in our craft rooms right now! Thanks to Taylored Expressions Sketchbook Florals Stamps and Dies.

These cards were made by stamping the Sketchbook Florals on Northwoods Watercolor Paper, then colored using Tombow Dual Brush Pens and a waterbrush to get the soft, ethereal look of a watercolor painting.

The Sketchbook Florals set has useful sentiments in typewriter + script fonts, which work beautifully on their own; but also pair well with Taylored Expressions Field Notes Stamp Set, which contains the dotted grid and interlocking diamonds. Other items featured here include Taylored Expressions’ Gingham Check Background and Rough Draft graph, as well as Penny Black’s super-useful Antique Frame nested die set.

Customer Spotlight: Michelle DeSaro

We absolutely *LOVE* seeing what our friends are making, and during the Paper Anthology 9th Anniversary Celebration we were treated to a huge helping of incredible eye candy! (Visit the PA FaceBook Page and scroll back a bit to see for yourself!) Michelle DeSaro made some especially inspiring cards; including this amazing cross-stitched Christmas! (Because YES, she really did stamp, diecut and hand stitch that entire jaw-dropping A2-sized Taylored Expressions Buffalo Plaid background!)

This stunning autumnal card has it all: beautiful coloring, just the right amount of inking, and fabulous composition. (Just look at those Sunny Studios Pretty Pumpkins perfectly placed in the “V” of the pennant!)

How lovely is the soft hand-drawn effect attained with Art Impressions’ Watercolor Clay Pot Set? And then the card is finished with elegant details like the punched and rounded corners.

You really need to look at this lovely Christmas card to see how many elements have been cleverly layered: a two-color wreath with sentiment stamped on top; layered onto a doily, with a velvet bow; all of which perfectly match the softly patterned paper and coordinating cardstock, with inked and faux stitched edges.

The mice from Lawn Fawn’s A Creature Was Stirring set are always adorable, but Michelle has made them even cuter by coloring them perfectly and then added plenty of diecut accessories to surround the window on this super-sweet shaker card.
