Graphic 45 “Christmas Time” Accordion Album

The newest Paper Anthology Class in a Kit is this stunning– but surprisingly easy to make– accordion album; featuring papers and embellishments from Graphic 45’s beautiful new holiday paper collection, “Christmas Time”. As always, the kit contains detailed written instructions; as well as all of the materials you’ll need… except adhesive and a trimmer! In fact, since it contains full sheets of all the papers, you’ll have leftovers to use on cards or other projects.

This lovely album also doubles as a piece of holiday decor. When open, the accordion design lets it stand by itself and look stunning on your mantle. When closed with its red ribbon tie, it would make a pretty accent on a table or bookshelf. Add your own holiday photos, or leave it as is!

This album would make a fabulous gift… IF you can stand to part with it? Luckily, the entire Christmas Time Paper Collection is also available as single sheets, and in an 8×8″ Paper Pad. There are coordinating Ephemera and Journal Cards, as well. There’s plenty of black chipboard in the store, too, so you can make additional copies!

Christmas Card Club is BACK!

The next Paper Anthology Christmas Card Club meeting will take place on Friday, March 3, 2023, from 5-9pm. We’ll be making this adorably ornament-al card featuring Sunny Studio stamps on a background of evergreens with a gorgeous gold-embossed sentiment and the perfect touch of plaid.

If you’re new to Paper Anthology’s Christmas Card Club, you should know that it’s our solution to the prospect of making ALL of our holiday cards in December. Instead, we start early in the year, and, at each meeting, we debut a brand new original Christmas card design. We pull together all the paper, embellishments and supplies you’ll need to make five cards of that design; all you have to do is show up and assemble them. This is a fun way to enjoy a crafty night out and get a jump on holiday card production! The cost is $25, dinner is included and new members are always welcome! There’s no need to commit to every meeting, we take individual, first-come-first-served sign-ups for each meeting. But… the session always fills up FAST! So be sure to reserve your place quickly by emailing elisabeth@paperanthology.com.

Please note that while the meetings start at 5pm, you do not have to arrive by 5 – you should be able to complete all five cards, even if you can’t arrive until later. Please bring your basic kit and a little bit of holiday spirit!

Please bring your basic kit, your favorite scissors and some holiday spirit! Dates available: Monday, November 28th, 11am-2pm; Sunday, December 4th, 11am-2pm; Thursday, December 8th, 6-9pm. Not only will all of the beautiful Spellbinders dies (including the Kaleidoscope Ornaments!) above be coming to PA, you miiiight just be seeing them in an upcoming class!

The Return of Christmas Card Club?

Would you like to meet up at Paper Anthology for a brand new, IN PERSON edition of Christmas Card Club; the first in over a year? If so, please read this post CAREFULLY to the very end, there are some new and important CoVid-related details!!!

Some things are the same as they always were: We’ll each be making five cards from one design (pictured above) featuring LDRS’ “Snow Deer to Me” stamps and dies, Dare 2B Artzy’s “Snow Much Fun” collection and a cool new technique for making “snow transparency”. The price will be $25 and includes dinner. The date will be Friday, June 25th, 5pm-9pm.

Some things are NEWso this is the part to read carefully: We will be limiting this event to the first six fully vaccinated Paper Anthologists who reserve their spots by EMAILING elisabeth@paperanthology.com AND including a photo of their vaccination card. (To give everyone equal footing, ONLY email requests will be taken at this time; no phone calls, FaceBook messages, etc. for this particular event.)

BUT don’t worry: If you can’t make the date, or you’re not vaccinated yet, or you aren’t one of the first six to email Elisabeth, there will be some kits available at a later date, to purchase and make at home; stay tuned for details on those!

We are excited about easing back to in person events and classes, and our first priority is the safety and peace of mind of all concerned. We will NOT be wearing masks or requiring class members to do so, but please note that all Paper Anthology staff members (Elisabeth, Shari, Betty and Lauren) are fully vaccinated and we’re still taking care to keep surfaces and hands extra clean. If you’d like to wear a mask during class you’re very welcome, but be aware that your (fully vaccinated) fellow participants will not be.

An Old-Fashioned Christmas

This week at Jingle Belles they’ve asked us to go vintage.  (Yay!!!)   I stamped the plaid flannel background stamp from Studio 490 with Peat Moss Archival Ink from Ranger.   I sticky embossed the beautiful retro-font sentiment from Stampers Anonymous Christmas time set (CMS352) and added loose red glitter. (the sparkle in real life is to die for!)   The Santa is from the Festive overlay set (CMS357), stamped with black archival and a little color added with Tombow markers.  The scalloped and stitched dies are from Taylored Expressions.  A super simple, quick card that lets that beautiful sentiment be the star of the show!

Christmas Card Swap!

Ladies your cards are ready to be picked up!  I have to applaud each and every one of you, what gorgeous cards!!!   Sharing three cards that really caught my eye (it was a very tough decision!)

Linda S. created this clean and simple card with a background die from Taylored Expressions and a sentiment die from Impression Obsession – classic and striking!

Gail P. used a Concord and 9th turnabout stamp and the triple step stamping technique.  The mirricard die cut sentiment is the perfect touch!

Shelly D. created a beautiful scene combining Taylored Expressions stamps, a  Penny Black Lamppost die and an Impression Obsession carolers die.  An inky background and sparkly snow sets the scene perfectly!

…and yes, I just HAD to create the Tim Holtz Holiday Hack with the ombre bottle brush trees on the vintage ruler – such a cute decoration and really quick and easy to make!

Thanks for stopping by – please leave a note so I know you visited!

Christmas Swap

Every year we do a Christmas card swap at Paper Anthology and I’m always in awe at the beautiful designs everyone comes up with.  For those of you that haven’t submitted your cards yet for this year, please get them to the store as soon as possible so I can get all the cards out to everyone.  Once they’re all in, I’ll choose 3 to spotlight here on the blog.    I haven’t joined the fun for several years as November is a very busy time of the year at the store, but this year I vowed to carve out some time!   I may have mentioned once or twice how much I loved Taylored Expressions’ Holiday release this year- honestly every single thing was fantastic – so I decided to feature a few things from them on my swap card:

I die cut the Taylored Expressions moose from Altenew’s wood paper ( this is super cool ultra thin real wood that die cuts like a dream)  The background is stamped with Taylored Expressions Buffalo check background stamp.  The sentiment is from Stampers Anonymous “Christmastime” set (adore these sentiments!)  The blanket stitch die cut is from Waffle Flower and the smaller die cut is from Sizzix, stitched rectangles.  The tiny twine bow just added the perfect touch!

Thanks for stopping by  – I’d appreciate it if you’d leave a comment, I LOVE to see who’s visited!
